User Security Settings

 

Overview:
User security settings are defined for the user in the Update User screen, under User Mangement. The security settings selected for a user dictate which screens and functionality that user has access to when logged into the system.

Data Setup Access

  • Data Maintenance Group: Grants the user access to the Data Setup menu.
  • Manage Agents: Grants the user access to the Agent Maintenance screens, when using the Crown Agent Portal.
  • Manage Rate Setup: Grants the user access to the rating setup for tariffs, surcharges, and fuel.
  • Manage User Accounts: Grants the user access to the User Maintenance screens.
  • Edit Company Information: Grants the user access to the company settings.

Process Access

  • Billing Group: Grants the user access to the billing export screens.
  • Dispatch Group: Grants the user access to the dispatch screens and functionality.
  • EDI Group: Grants the user access to the EDI screens if EDI functionality is enabled for the company.
  • Imaging Group: Grants the user access to the document imaging screens and functionality.
  • Settlement Group: Grants the user access to the settlement screens.

Reporting Access

  • Report Group: Grants the user access to the Reports menu.
  • Access Dispatch Gallery: Grants the user access to the Dispatch Gallery reports.
  • Access Maintenance Gallery: Grants the user access to the Maintenance Gallery reports.
  • Access Management Gallery: Grants the user access to the Management Gallery reports.

Shipment Access

  • Delete Shipments: Grants the user permission to cancel a shipment.
  • Edit Shipment Charges: Grants the user permission to edit shipment charges.
  • Edit Posted Shipments: Grants the user permission to edit a shipment that has been posted.
  • Restrict To Updating Status Information: Prevents the user from updating any information on the shipment that is not status related.
