Inbound Alert Document

 

Accessing The Screen:

  • Select Process -> Inbound Documents

Summary:
Expeditors and other forwarders now have the ability to send the alert documentation through EDI directly into your system. This new screen is used to manage those images.

Notable Features:

  • Allows the user to print these EDI transmitted inbound alert documents directly out of their Crown-Express system.
  • Eliminates the need to receive paperwork via Fax or Email.

General Instructions:

  • Upon these documents coming in via EDI they will be auto assigned to the shipment. The only exception to this would be if the document comes into the system before the alert is created.
  • When initially visiting the Inbound Documents page, the page will be populated with documents that the user has not yet accepted. Accept, in this case, means that the user has acknowledged the transmission and it can be cleared off of the list.
  • If you print a document, it automatically considers that document accepted.
  • If the user ever wants to look at documents that have been accepted or a specific date range then they can utilize the filters and refresh the grid.
