City/Zip Setup

Summary:
The City/Zip screen facilitates the management of zipcode information that is used to calculate shipment rating.

Accessing the Zip Code/City information:

• Select Data Setup -> City/Zip
• Enter the Zip Code or City to be updated
• Click on the Search button

Screen Usage:

Example: If zip code 14224 is an Area A for Zone 1, enter A in the Zone 1 field and click on the Save button. For more information on rating zones click here.

• If the Zipcode, City, and State are in the system, click Edit on the line to be updated. Fill in any additional information for the zip code and enter the assigned rating Area. Note: Make sure the assigned area is setup in the rating tariff. Click here for more information.
• If the Zip Code, City, and State are not in the system, click the Add New City/Zip button. Enter the zip code, city, and state information. Assign the rating area and enter any additional information. Click the Save button.

Bulk Assigning Routes And Rating Areas:

Routes and rating areas can be assigned to multiple zip codes by checking the boxes for the related zip codes, then clicking either Assign Area or Assign Route.

Note: If a route is assigned to a zip code, it will automatically be added to the relevant side of the shipment when saving.
