What was once a phone call an hour after the shipment was delivered, turned into a fax within 15 minutes of a POD, which turned into a visit to their Web Site that required your staff to re-enter information that you already have in the Crown Freight Manager. To keep up with their demands, more equipment has to be purchased, staff has to be increased, and your overhead goes up all the while your profits go down.

Crown Data Systems has released a state-of-the-art EDI communications module that allows Crown Freight Manager users to electronically communicate critical shipment data with shipping customers. Data such as shipment status information, PODs and invoicing data can be transmitted automatically from your Crown system.

Components

• EDI Host - EDI host is the engine behind the scene that sends and receives information and monitors the activities. EDI Host is provided at no charge with the purchase of the EDI interfaces.
• EDI Interface - An EDI interface is the program written to perform a specific task communicating with a specific customer. A commonly used interface will be the sending of tracking information through the POD to your customers (commonly referred to as the EDI 214).
• Set-up Services - Each of the various interfaces will be unique to a particular client and requires the assistance of a Crown Freight Manager service professional on the initial activation.

* Interfaces may be activated and re-activated within a block of interfaces purchased. A set-up fee will apply in the reactivation of an interface.
